boost ???

how much is too much boost. Right now Ive got a stock turbo and I see 30+ psi and in the near future in lookin into gettin a htt 64/71/14 or a bd super b special and what I want to know is how much boost well stock head studs handle??

40-45 psi. I blew mine at 50.
mine went at 45psi

if you reg. it at 40-45 and don't beat on it everyday you should be fine :thumbsup

Boost elbow/boost fooler allows you to exceed this...:w:
I would check and make sure what block you have before you do anything to it. Its not worth spending money on the turbos if the block is sh**.
anything over 35 psi on a hx35 is just hotter air. boost is not power it is a restriction. Mass of air = power. colder air=more power. pressured cold air is what you want. I occasionally get to 45lbs.

Studs are about $440 and require several re torques to maintain integrity.
