Well I have a 04 1ton I just got at the first of Jan...last weekend it started blowing whitish blue smoke..it idles rough and lose of power and smokes all the time...I'm new to diesels and don't know much about them...so I took it to A guys shop and had it checked out and he told me the motor was burned up that #5 and 6 pistons are bad...so I call another shop and ask them what they think and say I could just have a stuck injector...at idle it just smells like raw diesel burning...so if anyone can help me by telling me what they think let me know

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but blueish white smoke usually lends itself to the signs of a burnt motor or oil basically oil getting into the cylinder past blown or burnt rings which causes poor performance/ idle due to bad compression and combustion...

A burnt cylinder can be the result of a bad injector that was run too long also so both could kinda be right...

yeah I would unfortunately say so, did you buy it from a dealer or private party?

Depending on how had it is you may not have to replace the whole motor, it may just be a burnt piston if your lucky.. but it can also just get sleeved and be on the way.... but yes can get expensive fast.. I'm trying to save myself for another motor even though mine is still doing good but to build up mildly and stuff it in when mine takes a dump.... and then build the bad one up for another exchange down the road....
Might want to think about doing the same if you can pick up another engine for a decent price

don't drive it in this condition
the engine will grenade quickly. usually piston disintegrates and takes rod with it out the side of the block. often ruins the crank
park until you can afford a rebuild, then you'll still have a usable block, crank, rods, cam and some pistons
will save you at least $5000
