I replaced my stock fuel pump with a Raptor 150 and now today blow the seal out of the top of the stock fuel filter canister. Since it seems the new pump is putting out too much pressure can anybody tell me how many lbs of pressure can be reduced by turning the Raptor adjustment screw 1/4 of a turn as I don't have a fuel pressure gauge currently installed (still in the mail someplace) so that I can at least get the truck running again? Also doe anybody know what these stock fuel filter canisters are rated at for pressure as I haven't seen this problem in the reading I have done on this site so far?

Either it was plugged, but more likely it wasn't on tight enough. No way a Raptor or really any fuel pump can create enough pressure to cause problems like that.

Just to let all know you were right on track as the filter cannister lid was not put on to spec as it came off easily. Once I changed the filter and torqued the lid down to 25 ft lbs, I no longer have any fuel leakage. The amazing thing was the Dodge dealer had just changed the filter with the last oil change as I couldn't find the time. Another leaning point, do it yourself if you want it done right and find the time.

Glad you got it figured out. Yup dealers and oil shops can screw up the simplest things.

Putting a little oil or diesel on the o-ring when you install it isn't bad idea either.
