Well this is for a 01 dodge caravan, (there is no caravan sites as far as I know)
I have replaced this unit in one of our vans, once last yr, twice this yr & the thing is out again! Last unit worked approx. 2 months, what gives? Is my switch causing this or the blower motor itself?

You need to replace the blowerr motor as well otherwise it'll keep blowing the resistor. I had mine go out in my ram just recently. Well worth spending the extra 50 on top of the 51 for the resistor once then 51 4 times a yr

agreed with the above poster, what is happening is there is most likely a short across a few of the windings in the blower motor. When that happens it draws more current than it should and burns out the blower motor resistor.
