I’m needing some nerf bars on my truck for the kids especially. My truck is 2011 mega cab cherry red and can’t decide between chrome or black. I’m going with 5” raptor steps since they attach to the body mounts not the Rockers like many.

Truck has the factory chrome handles, bumpers And grill.

I would say chrome just because you already have several chrome pieces on it from the factory, plus red and chrome is hard to beat!

I'm going to go with black- I think some of these trucks have too much chrome as it is. Not to mention, for me, black steps are less maintenance. Chrome should shine. My black steps mean I don't have to worry about making sure they're all shiny and polished.

I already decided on black but the only think that got me thinking is all the damn chrome on these trucks from factory and black steps looking out of place

Chrome is nice if you don't intend to use the truck in a way that would scratch or rust your nerf bars. Most of the chrome ones eventually corrode or scratch (and rust) if used off road or on salted roads. I went with black on my white truck. They are low maintenance and look great. The coating on mine is similar to truck bed liner.
