Heard a friend talking about biodiesel. Said he put it in his cummins and it was cheaper. Does anyone know the pros vs. cons? Don't want to mess my '03 up!

you can make it yourself, and yes its alot cheaper. Pros, price.

cons, lost power, lesser mileage and time to produce it.

I don't plan on making it myself. Said he bought it at a CFN station, cheaper. But, I surely don't want lost power or less mileage! So, cost is the only pro?

to me yes, I produce my own so instead of paying 5.23 a gallon in my neck of the woods I produce it for less than 1.50 per gallon.

as far as the mileage some people report like myself that I only lost and .5 per gallon and some others say 7 or something like that.

Biodiesel will also clean out your fuel system which I guess could be viewed as a pro, although I am not sure what long term use may do to the engine over all.
