I agree with George.

Billet flex or laminated, billet input just because, a decent builder and your done.

BUT,,,, if you have the money it's a good idea to over build the trans just incase your goals will ever change and they probably will. Then you don't have to worry about you only built the trans for 500hp and now you want to make 750hp with it.

You can get a good t/q for 1500 and a v/b for 5-600... Install will vary... Guessing 1200 for that... And gordon is right, you wanna do as much as possible now.. Because in the future your gonna want more, trust us lol..

So basically i need to go full billet, I do agree, everyone will always want more power (power comes at a cost as everyone on this forum WELL knows) Im looking at the DTT kit looks good, But no valve body, You would think at the price of that kit it would include a good valve body, Although it does include the TC. Idk stresses me out looking all over the place when i just want a quality product to last throughout the build of my truck.

I think they mentioned like 3-4 billet things, a t/c, input shaft, flexplate. That is not even close to full billet. That is like minimal billet. You still have the intermediate, and output shaft. There are also like dozens of little billet parts.

here is some of my m3ga kit

What was the Price$ on that kit?

:confused013: Or even better whats my best bet for a Full Transmisson/ Or Rebuild Kit For around the 3000.00 mark? (thats not installed, just for kit or tranny)

If you put the shift kit into your VB, it's the exact same end result. When DTT or any other company sends you a VB, all it is, is a VB core with a shift kit installed.
Ok thats good to know, Im having a local Shop look up you guys to see what it would cost me to install DTT parts. They seem to be having a very diffucult time with all i want done, I just told them make use DDT kit (the one for like 2800) put it all in my tranny and install it. 3 days ago and they still dont have a ball park quote. Do you know of any Shops in MT that are well versed on your parts? :confused013:

Honestly, if they have done these transmission before it should be a issue. Plus Bill at DTT can talk most people thru any issues. Heck, we have had members on here build them before and it was there first trans build.
Ok good to know Ill be giving him a call, thank you for your help.

Are you going single or triple disk converter? Im in the same boat as you. I dont plan on going over 500hp. Ive had trucks with 850+ and I have no need for that any longer. All I plan on doing to the new mega is EFI live and maybe a lift pump. I got a quote from a local builder for 2k with a single disk and valve body plus some other little things. And 3600 for a triple disk, billet input, billet flex plate and valve body. Im torn between the two..........
