What air pressure do you use guys recommend for towing a 6000 pound trailer once or twice a week and driving to work on your BFG 265 70 17E on 2007 2500 5.9. I know what the book recommends. I would like to hear what the users have to say. Obviously MPG is a factor also.

I have the BFG 265/70/10 AllTerrain KO. They are D rated. I didn't think they made an E rated in this tire but great if they do. Mine are rated for 65#. I started out running them at 50# for the better ride and an even contact patch. They ride much better than the Michelins that came stock. I had the tires rotated and the mechanics filled them to 65#. I didn't know it but I immediately noticed about a 1MPG increase in my average MPG. I calcd it at refuel and show nuff I gained 1 MPG. I didn't think that tire pressure mattered that much but I have kept them at 65# ever since. I regularly tow a 7000# boat and 8000# trailer w/tractor on board.
