the very best transmission is: The one that is not abused. Is not subject to boosted launches. Tows heavy but with sense on speed and gear selection. Is serviced on a appropiate schedule with correct ATF+4 fluid. Does not have loads of engine mods to contend with. Enough ranting.
Now, figuring above will not be enough fun. Look at RevMax or other completed trans assy. they have coordinated parts and testing to assure quality product that can withstand semi sensible abuse....

Of course, but my truck is hunting and daily so more power isn't a bad thing , im just wondering about longevity vs power , since the 47rs is a semi flawed trans for 100 -150 hp over stock

granted but stock wont hold the mods forever so im looking for a prebuilt sine i cannot afford the time without the truck unless its easier to build up my own (never touched a trans) over a weekend

It "Can" be built over a weekend, but only if you are lucky enough to have the proper thickness thrust washers to get it in spec.

I seen on the revmax website they only have one option for the 47re. What can they transmission hold up to? And why revmax for the47re, what's your guyss experience with them.

Revmax has an amazing reputation on this forum and elsewhere.. I'm going with them when I can save up the dough.

I'm in Calgary and was thinking I'd probably get it shipped to Montana, and then just drive down and grab it. Might be an option for you too seeing as Montreal is pretty close to the border.

PS - Go Oilers!

Yeah I don't need anything crazy, was just curious to what kinda hp it could hold up to. No one here has one?
