i just got done rebuilidng my transmission in my 01 it is a 47re and now i just need to put it in so i was wondering what the best tranmission oil out there is because i dont want to have to rebuild this again anytime soon any input would be gereat thanks guys

I got amsoil in my tranny. Ever since i put it in the shifts hold out longer and now at my 30k maintainance, its turning colors and smells as original stuff didnt do that. I dont know if my truck is taking a beating now with miles or its the fluid change. Im prolly going back to stock after my next 30k miles i put on it. Im not impressed with amsoil ATF 1 bit.

Mine did the same thing, but in a lot less than 30k. It turned dark purple / brown I dont know.

I'm a fan of Amsoil, but I am afraid to put it back in my tranny. The regular stuff is doing fine.

I have a just a lil over 340,000 on my 04 and have always used used atf 4 from mopar and have never had a problem,I dont tow anything,just a few hundred pounds of tools in the box. Im not sure who manufactures mopar fluid but if you read the back label it is synthetic.
