hey guys, im new here and im getting a 2500 cummins in about 2 weeks or sooner, its gonna be a 5.9 and a 2005 or 2006, i have 500 bucks avalable for play so i wanna put it towards upgrades, ive been looking around, and tell me if i sound like an idiot but heres what i could find that i figure is good bang for the buck....

straight pipe exhaust-muffler delete pipe $65
cool pipe intake to turbo tube $140
turbo air guide $120
air filter-not sure which one yet

i only have 500 bucks to work with right now, if anyone can give me some pointers on which cheap upgrades to do that would be great! thanks alot.

my brother has a 2006 5.9 on 34.5" bfg a/t, straight pipe, and afe intake, his truck is a rocket and its a blast to drive so im getting one soon, its not just a pavement queen, we own a construction company and im mainly buying it to pull my 5th wheel, i want my truck to whopp his just for s and giggles, let me know what i can to with 500 bucks, i kow its nothing but its something

Sounds like your on the right track. My S&B came with the tube going to the turbo. It was pretty cheap.

With $500 the biggest bang for your buck will be to get a used Edge Juice w Attitude out of the classified section. Period.

If you want a tube from intake to turbo I will sell you my AFE torque tube for cheap, as in much less than $140. PM me if you want it. Think half that plus shipping.

Don't waste your money on the TAG!

Search s+b intake on google. It is a good cold air intake which is very reasonably priced. More show than go though, just like all CAI's.

the only tuner i will put on my truck would be the smarty, im looking into buying all new parts also, if anyones got a tuner up for sale that most likely means it ed up their truck, or got a better,safer tuner lol but does a straight pipe sound good for about 75 bucks all done and welded?

so thats 425 bucks now, gimme some options haha!

why would you assume that? that is not usually the case....people sell there trucks an take off tuners...people wreck there truck an people sometimes need the money....:thumbsup: just make sure the guy your buyin from is legit an not a newbie. you can save a lot of money buyin used....nothing wrong with used parts.

Just a heads up that's not correct. I personally have had 5 tuners. I still have 4 of them. 3 of them are in my truck right now. From time to time I will sell one just so that I can try other ones or I will switch one for another just to mix it up.
