has anyone mounted this setup on their first gens? I'm pretty interested in dumping the vacuum system and vac boost and going to hydro boost as well.
I know many of the busses and f700's come with them. do they fit well? and does anyone have part numbers? or know where i may find this setup, brand new would cost a fortune?

The air compresssor might clear the left side engine mount. No way the P/S pump will.

If I think about it tomorrow night I'll get a measurement off one of my 12 valve yard trucks.

You would still need the vacuum for your cruise and heater controls.

thank you, any help is appreciated, I'm not back in college and not working in the woods/shop so i have some time to research and hoard parts. would the power steering pump be an easy adaption to work with hydroboost? just some new fittings and hoses?

dont super duties have some kind of small vacuum pump, maybe i could find something electric, i don't have cruise but all of my heat and a/c stuff works great so i want to keep that! I'm just aiming to have air bags, horn, etc

The power steering pumps on the back of the compressors are not the same as one on our trucks. They are more like a small log splitter pump, you would have to have a hydraulic tank.

I think the Fords use a electric vacuum pump, you can also get then at Summit racing and Jegs. Race cars use electric vacuum pumps.

This weekend ill be working in the shop in a friends shop in NY doing all of his annual inspections, I'm pretty sure he has an f700 bucket truck with a p-pump, compressor and pwr steering. if its around ill take all the measurements and pictures and post them.
