Just like it says, It keeps getting louder. Not sure if its the belt or a pulley. Is there a common failure that I'm not aware of? Truck has 265k, alternator runs fine same with AC

The tensioner assy gets worn and runs the belt slightlly off center. The belt will be over pulley on one side. Get from parts store. Gator back belts seem to be best choice also.

to confirm belt or alt/ps/ac etc por water on the belt while its running if the noise stops its a belt issue.

as mentioned above check your alignment of the belt, tensioner pulleys do wear out, if that is the case replace with a goodyear tensioner dayco uses a plastic pulley that looks like its been pieced together from 4 or 5 pieces, its anything but round. good year is steel
