i am looking into buying the bd high idle kit for my 01. does anyone run one of these? how are they to install? i have an edge juice chip will that effect anything as for plugging in the high idle module? any help would be great, really could use high idle this winter!

how about the DAP high idle. Better way to go.

Im pretty sure when I was browsing and looked at the BD high idle it was just an APPS fooler.

yes. Either a dealer can do it, or you can rent a Smarty from DAP and do it your self and know it was done vs hoping the dealership did it right.

you also get self canceling and 3cyl high idle.

moparmans stuff is excellent but you may be happy with a high idle three cylinder flash on its own. It works quite well on its own but if you need the best then go with the moparman high idle fooler kit. The kit will put you in control of when high idle will kick in instead of waiting for the ecm to to engage it at preset temperatures.

There is a map on here somewhere that lists who's willing to help wrench/flash ecm in ones's area with a smarty. It was a big deal last winter.

Mopar1973Man and Ed have developed a great product in the high idle switch. check to see if you can get someone local to get the ECM update on the Smarty. We can do the rental, but it would be expensive for shipping back and forth to Canada.

What does the 3 cylinder and high idle help do? Is it just for colder climate areas?
