so my truck came with this bd diesel oem lift pump on it and it is gone bad so im looking for a new one. i was gonna get the fass ddrp pump but my trucks pump isnt on the block, its on the rail about a foot in front of the tank. is there still gonna be the stock fuel pump in the tank that ill have to replace? i know im gonna get alot of people say go with a fass 150 but i dont have that kind of money. heres a link to the bd lift pump BD Diesel OEM Replacement Lift Pump Kit for Dodge Cummins 1998-2002 5.9L 24-valve

do i need to have a pump in the tank as well as this one? if so ill probably just wait and get a fass 150 and get rid of the in tank pump

cummins6sp5.9 do you also run a fuel pump in the tank?
NO pump intank. Its NOT good on either pump to work against the other. Id look here for the fuel canister mod. It removes the intank pump and the you use your frame mounted liftpump. GET A INCAB fuel pressure gauge !!!:thumbsup:

Just got off the phone with a tech at sinister diesel. he said remove the in tank pump and just use a tube instead, ill be ordering the pump later on today!

Before i wrote the check fir my 02 Cummins I talked to the PO anf he said he had the BD pump installed about one year before i bought the truck. Its been a good pump for almost four years now. ZERO problems !!!!
