Does anyone have covers on the + battery connector especially on the passenger side. I see an imprint of the + connector in the hood insulator.

I was toying with the idea of using a boat starting battery I have for the passengers side but I need to be darn sure its no higher than a group 27.

Its recommended that you use 2 of the same batterys and should replace them in pairs. The old battery will pull the charge out of the better battery and kill the lifespan of the new battery. The battery's shouldnt be the close to the hood. My batterys sit below the top edge of the fender so they are nowhere close to the hood. I dont have the hood insulation tho. Id check to see if you have the right batterys or if your battery trays were replaced with a different kind.

I have 31's and they make the same imprints but no problems yet, Hood liner sags a bit. Could not hurt to put on those plastic flip over covers. You can check you hood adjustment stops too. (round rubber with screw near radiator ends.)

I run optimas but that's just me. I like the agms more than wet batteries but they do come at a cost. I work for advanced so I know the warranties better than most top of the line wet batteries have 3 year free replacement next 5 years is prorated meaning not completely free but not completely out of pocket either. Agm batteries is a flat 36 month warranty
