I am in the process of outfitting my 2018 3500 cab/chassis 6.7 truck with a service bed that has a 3200 pound electric crane on it. I am also going to put a jumper cable quick connect on the front bumper for jump starting other vehicles. My question is which battery should I hook into? I know that the older Fords had a preference as to which battery should be used for this.I would think I should tie the crane into the same battery as the jumper cables. Any help is appreciated.

It doesn't matter, but i think most people prefer to hook up to the driver side battery

On my 17 I went driver side. Easier to run battery cables from battery to bumper on that side versus passenger side.
