Okay, I know there are a bunch of other posts about the bag of parts but I can’t find many new posts. With the Arson 3 kit now unavailable, is the Bag of Parts better than nothing? I have stock sticks but am gonna be putting in 90s or 100s when the time comes. No plans for a CP3 upgrade unless mine goes out. Am I wasting money on theBag of Parts?

Stock cp3 will not fully support 100’s, any tuner will tell you that... I’ve never ran bag o parts but had a arson kit on one of my other trucks with 90’s and it almost kept rail where tuner wanted it.

Well I did run F1 100hp injectors on a stock cp3 with a smarty s06 tnt-r on sw 7 and had no issues holding rail pressure. Infact it actually performed better than an 85% over cp3 and 120hp injectors from industrial injection.

Believe it or not but it’s the truth. Not that anyone ever believes anything that anyways says on forums anyways and one person is always more right than another. It’s like everyone that’s says you can’t tune a 48RE through the ecm. There isn’t a single person I’ve provided 48RE tuning for that will say it can’t be done. I have my experiences and they may differ from others but I am aware of my experiences, what I’ve done, what the results were and what I can do. With the setup I had on my old 05 I had zero issue with 100hp sticks on a stock cp3 and it did do worse performance wise after changing to a 85% cp3 and 120 sticks also gave me rail pressure issues after that swap. Certain points of the rp map it would go erratic and truck would become jerky, stumble like crazy. Hated that swap.

I never said it couldn’t be done, people have done it for years. What I said was, you cannot FULLY support 100’s on a stock cp3.... your problem with 120’s and 85 pump was the company you bought them from....

Even with an aftermarket lift pump?

IMHO the bag of parts offer only a very, very slight improvement, and not enough to bridge the gap. You're waaay better off saving your money for a 10mm cp3. my stock cp3 couldn't even keep up with stock injectors and a hot tune. If you're going up in size and a turbo you need more fuel.

Also sorry to bust peoples bubble, but anyone that tries to sell you a IP that claims to give more fuel without increasing bore, or stroke, or rpm, is so full of crap they should be run out of business, because it's not possible unless they come with a special mojo in them to alter physics. A pump can only move the volume of it's bore x it's stroke....period....

I've seen them. It is possible to increase the feed to the pump or it's bores, but, once they're full, they're full, you ain't getting no more unless you increase the stroke. I can only imagine what they're injectors are like...

Learned the issue was who I chose to go with for injectors and pump a long time ago, shortly after I did that swap but still, I didn’t have any issues myself with the 100’s on a stock pump.

You also have to remember that tuning will make a difference. My stock CP3 is handling my 50 HP sticks just fine because my tuning is dialed in. That could be changed to where my stock CP3 won't be able to keep up/hold RP WOT.

I hit this point with my 6.7 swapped 03 because of custom tuning. I have 60 HP sticks on the stock pump. With MM3 tuning getting close to dialed in, I saw the rail pressure drop. Once I saw the rail pressure demand vs actual pump output graphed with UDC Pro, the problem was obvious. The pump couldn't keep up with demand with only 60 HP sticks as the tuning got more dialed in. The 6.7 with twins would take more than what I could feed it. I thought for sure the injectors would have been the limiting factor but in this particular instance, the CP3 ran out of mojo first. I ran it with a another CP3 to verify.
