So I just got my new filter on and got rid of the K&N since everyone told me they are not good for a diesel?? Anyway, I saw the pictures of them in the garage, but wow! The thing is huge, it arrived at work and when I saw the box I was in shock. Got it in and I am happy with it except the "torque tube" is awful close to the heat shield on the manifold now I will have to figure something out.
Got it in there and didnt really like it that much. Turbo wasn't as noticable and it felt to me like it wasnt as peppy as it was with the k&n so I went to a shop here in Salem and ordered an AFE proguard 7 that will be here tomorrow to put in place of the k&n. Took the bhaf back to napa, it was $72 for the napa filter and $75 for the AFE, if I would have known that I would have just ordered the AFE in the first place
i will give you the part # for the 4" inlet 8" long, 8" dia. tomorrow of the box of mine when i pick it up, i put my k&n back on unitl tomorrow and it was like my truck woke back up, maybe its just in my head but it feels like a noticable seat of the pants diference
If you are going to go that route I would go with the Volant Power Core PN#61504, thats what I wanted by the guy at my diesel shop here in town said it would be two weeks and I didnt want to wait
