I have a 93 automatic and im thinking about buying a 92 manual, will i need to make any mods if i switch the 93 to manual???

that would be putting a upgrade on your truck manual is better then automatic

well i did the swap on mine in about 7 hours including droping the auto out it was WELL worth it and yes it would be a MAJOR upgrade on your truck trust me you dont know what your truck will do till its got a 5 speed in it. all you need is the tranny tcase and pedals nothing else do you haft to switch its easy as cake

Is the '93 2wd or 4wd? 2wd automatics have a small trans hump, so you'll need major surgery to swap that Getrag in. If you have a donor truck, it should go pretty smooth, though.

2wd or 4wd?

2wd uses a different trans crossmember between stick and auto on the getrags.
The front driveshaft section is also longer on the getrag 2wd.

4wd uses a different transfer case when going from auto to 5 speed.
