Is it that hard of a job? and if i were to get a used manual what do you believe the price would be? would it be easier to do myself or would the garuntee of a mechanic be better?

Main question is would there be any welding? and has anyone had it done?

Auto to Manual

Done it on one, getting ready to do it on another. As far as welding goes you are going to have to get the drive shaft changed. Pretty much taking one out and swapping. Need to get clutch master salve cylinder with linkage. There is more than just the transmission to be concerned about. Try to find a donar that has everything. I found mine from partsitout, a seller on ebay, and went to Paris Arkansas to pick it up. But he will ship. I noticed he had one on there now for 1800 and that included everything you will need. That is a fair price for what he is including. Adding clutch pedal, is pretty simple. Do a search for Cummins or NV4500 and you will find it. It's a pretty easy swap. You'll need to change drive shaft lengths. I believe the rest is direct bolt in. The pedals have clips and pins that hold them in, you have the hole and mounting hardware for the slave and everything.

If you have someone with a hoist, it's really not that difficult of a job. I'd say do it yourself.

wow, sorry i havent replied, my computers been down so im resorting to one of my buddies... umm yes i believe im going to eventually get a whole kit from that guy on ebay your talking about and throw it in myself...
