The August Cummins of the Month contest is live. Please read carefully below.

THIS MONTH'S THEME: Towing. Show your Cummins being put to work. Camping, on the job site, towing your race car. Lets see it hauling skills.
  • The last week of each month, a poll will be added to the thread with all the entries and you will have 7 days (or 5, depending on how quick I am to get the poll up and how well the thread is moving) to cast your vote.
  • You must own the submitted ride.
  • I would strongly suggest submitting pics with no people in it (dogs are fine) or at the least, crop them out of it.
  • Feel free to give a little backstory on your ride. Whether that be the modifications it has, how you came to own it, or just a fun story. Don't be afraid to share your ride's story.
  • If you have won in a previous month, you can no longer enter for the rest of the year. However, if you have a second car that meets the above criteria, you can enter that.
The winner at the end of the month will win a free 1 Year Premium Membership for the forum and a custom badge under their username. If the winner is already a premium member, their subscription will be extended an additional year.

Winners will be featured on the sites gallery, found here.

Congrats to July's Cummins of the Month winner, @Aburdett!

My 2019 Ram 2500 is the superior work horse. I tow our 18k lbs. camper on all vacations, no problem at all. Love the truck started minor upgrades airbags Firestone Red label, 23k Demco auto slide 5th wheel, N-Fab side steps, OEM remote start and aluminum trifold "Gator" cover.
That was the beginning now, the work really begins in the next 2 months doing a full SRW to DRW conversion (Arrowcraft) with a 6.5' mega cab bed (OEM Laramie). New wheels and tires (not sure brand yet), and adding the puck 5th wheel mounting system.

Here is my 2001 cab and chassis 3500 with a six speed manual. I’ve always loved the 5.9 Cummins and knew I would someday buy one. Turns out it was the first vehicle I bought. It tows every thing from goosenecks to small utility trailers. Handles everything like a champ. Upgrades include an airdog lift pump, 5”inch straight exhaust, boost elbow and fooler, air box delete with big air filter, and 17” worx rims. I have also been slowly working on getting rid of the rust. So far I have new rockers installed. Next is cab corners.

I use my truck daily for my business. I haul anywhere from 7k-11k in trailers throughout the week. It’s a work horse! Every since I tuned it with CPS it has been so solid.

She started life as safety managers site truck and probably wishes she still had that life, because it is not uncommon for this 9ton tri-axle to be in tow.

2007 Laramie 3500 5.9L 4x4 dually

This truck lived a few miles from me on the CA central coast. First owner purchased at a local dealer and alternately hauled his truck camper and 5th wheel back and forth to Montana where he has property. Traded in for a new Laramie and I was fortunate to snag it. Has just 29,000 miles on it. Showroom condition inside, outside and under the hood. No dings, scratches, or rust. Rhino lining in 8' box with B&W gooseneck hitch, dual 2" tow hitches, and frame mounted tie downs for slide-in camper which is what I will be using it for. It also has an anti-sway bar and brand new Michelins all the way around. It has air bags and trailer brake controller installed.

I'll be adding a Pacbrake PRBX exhaust brake and a FASS lift pump and air/fuel filtration system. Either a Smarty tuner or a tap-shift for the 48RE. Recommendations?

The truck was serviced and oil changed every 4,000 miles and I have full dealer service records which the dealership copied for me. It was traded in at the original dealership and now back to the same town as original owner. It is the last of the 5.9L pre EGR and no DEF. Except for a few upgrades I will be keeping mostly stock.

It's a head-turner and almost too pretty to drive!

Since this month’s poll includes verbiage of “towing” coupled with “put to work” and “hauling skills” .......I decided it might be fitting to enter White Lightning this month. All of my truck details can be found within my signature.

Started out as a 2018 RAM 4500 Crew Cab with 60” cab to axle.

New CM SK series flatbed with B&W turnover ball. I can run 2&5/16” gooseneck balls, 3” gooseneck balls, and the B&W Companion Fifth Wheel hitch. I can go from one to another in under a couple of minutes or so.

Well here is Ruby. Really she is just a toy that gets used when called to do so.

Pulled our “camper” from Nm to Vegas and then to VA. The truck could care less it was back there anytime it was hooked up.

Well here is my dirty Alaska dog, fading paint and missing wheel hub cover and all (and I'm not inclined to paint it). 97' Ram 12-valve 3500 dually 4x4 converted to single (for 1 MPG mileage gain) w/ F rated Black Rhino wheels and Toyo tires to maintain load rating; Gear Vendors OD; air bags; stage 1.5 turbo; 4" turbo back; Power Driven Diesel power kit (407 HP/ 666 ft. lbs. - scary number! :( ); in-cab fuel-air mixture controls; exhaust brake; cold air intake w/propane injection for long hill intake air cooling; Thunderstruck bumpers; AirdogII fuel pump and filters; pulls the 40' trailer with 16,000 lbs. of stuff, not horses (plus another 1,000+ in the bed) through Alaska and lower 48 Rockies with ease! It's ugly but I think that's part of the charm.

My prized 2017 Laramie. We camp everywhere with this baby and there has not been a road (or lack of one) that has slowed us down yet! Camper fully loaded with all our gear, tanks and beer is about 5100 pounds not including the motorcycle trailer we tow. The Cummins hauls it all like it's empty. LOVE THIS TRUCK.
