Hey Everyone,
I have an '02 2500, with an automatic tranny. I changed the fluid about 50,000 miles ago, and need to change it again soon. This thing has 248,000 miles on it, and so far has no problems, I don't tow a whole lot, so it has a pretty easy life, but I won't be surprised if it goes out on me tomorrow either.

So, with all that in mind, is the brand of ATF that Walmart carries ("Super Tech", designed for Mopar vehicles) good enough to use? Or do I need to spend the extra and get it from the dealership.

Again, it's not worked hard very often, and it's old anyway, and'll go out soon enough regardless of quality of fluid.

Thanks,
Paul

That's what I've been using in mine for a couple of years. Tony, who used to own Dunrite, uses that in his but we both have high pressure VB's. He says the main thing the plus 4 does is slip more so you don't get torque converter chatter. In that case he says you would need to use it. Or maybe the additive that is available.
