Anyone with 2014 Aisin problems?

Thinking I may order a new '14 so I can get exactly what I want......

Even though I don't tow often, I'm considering ordering the aisin because of the extra 50ft lbs, I may tune it someday, and am thinking it will have slightly higher resale.

I'd read several threads where people were complaining about 2-->1 shifting clunks, etc in their aisins, but it seems as though they all had 2013s. Anybody with an issue with a '14 Aisin?

Our 2014 Aisin has been flawless.

I really like the way it shifts, and the front end is really sweet.
No Problems yet but only 400 miles so far. This is my 4th Ram HD. I had a 2004 and a 2007 2500 both with 5.9's and the "strong as butter" 48RE. My first was a 2004 Hemi 2500 4x4 and I'm not going to even talk about that one. I was done with Dodge until they made the Aisin available.

The 68 trans is Ok if you don't mod your truck at all or tow heavy in the Rockies, which is what I do with mine. Because of my negative past experiences I would go with the Aisin. I talked to Suncoast transmissions and Dave Goerend, both of whom are considered some of the best trans shops in the country. They both told me the Aisin was the real deal and much more heavy duty than the 68.

The 68 trans case doesn't have enough room to really beef it up, although you can get a pretty stout one built by Suncoast. The Aisin weighs 160 lbs more and that is a lot of extra metal.

No issues whatsoever with mine. Mine shifts smoothly and solidly, always seems to be in the right gear, other than unnecessarily (imo) dropping into first gear even when I don't come to a complete stop at a light. (I like coasting up to lights without stopping, because it saves fuel and aggravates the people behind me who want to roar up to the light and stop so they can text... :D)

There is the occasional clunk when shifting out of drive or reverse, but I don't think you can throw gears that size around under all sorts of conditions and loads without having an occasional noise...

The Aisin is MED Duty Again MED DUTY trans, The shifting may somewhat be more harsh then the Light duty trans. If you want Grocery getting behavior by the 68RFE, and wait for the latest Software update.

If you want a robust Trans the 69 is the ticket.
