Looking for any input if anyone is running a one piece shaft. Found a thread- http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/3rd-gen-powertrain/108638-one-piece-driveshaft.html And it seems like you can buy one from MOPAR direct. I want to eliminate my carrier bearing. Its at an odd angle and it gives me a shutter when i start off. :banghead:

Also wondering about this, Ill be keeping an eye on this thread.
I had no idea about this. I just spent far to much time reading 15 pages on the original thread. Going to call the dealer tomorrow and see if its available

Let me know. The shafts from the dealer look like some good stuff.
It'll be interesting to see the price. I assume a driveshaft shop could combine the 2 shafts for a decent price?
A lot of people said in the other thread a driveshaft shop can make one for around the same price with larger u joints. I guess it all depends on what you're looking for
idk about on our trucks but I know a guy who made his four door long bed duramax drive shaft that was two pieces into one for pulling and still his dd at highway speeds over 70 he gets a terrible vibration with such a long shaft that's why I opted out of that and just replaced my carrier bearing. my .02

I can see that happenin. A 84" piece of alum would have to be straight as an arrow no bow what so ever
