DDM Tuning. Just ordered mine yesterday for $100 shipped. 55w 8000k bulbs with everything else. Lifetime warranty. Went with the raptor full HID kit.

For the most usable light you want to go with the 4300K 55W setups, anything over 4300K is wasted energy.

The higher the K rating, the more blue the color which in turn provides less light output that our eyes can actually use efficiently.

My truck came with them in it, theyre either 5k or 6k lights... not the greatest light quality, especially if its foggy.. i only have lows and fogs. Im thinking of ordering retro solutions warm white 5ks high/low and fogs.

I have 6k hids for the high beams low beams and fogs and could not be happier super bright and barely a tint of blue. on the road it looks pure white. i agree though, if you get 8k and above they start getting way too blue and dont appear to be as bright on the road. also agree with you get what you pay for, but with hid fogs you can just get the cheap plug and play one it doesnt make a difference really, spend the extra money on the headlights for sure though!

150 should do the trick! for all of it if you get them on sale just dont get the 40-50 dollar kits you will have flickering and burned out bulbs or they wont light 8k is cool too, i know a few people with them i just wouldnt go over 8k they ten too get too blue and just look kinda tackie and cheap at that point. just my .02

i road in a truck before with them, i wasnt very impressed. werent any better then the stock bulbs.

he then got aftermarket headlight housings off ebay and that made a huge difference.

i wouldnt waste your money on them if your gonna keep the stock housings. cuz the housings are the reasons our trucks lights suck

blackcoal is right I had an 98.5 before this truck now and the stock housing blows! that is why they look so dim. a aftermarket housing i got off ebay looked better and actually let light shine through cause it was clear glass!!!! I was thinking about the newer trucks. once you get the clear glass aftermarket housing then get hids if you still want them!

i bought 2 of these new housings on ebay years ago. i forget who made them now. i installed them for half a day before throwing them out, they were very low light compared to stock and the halo's were not visable. if i ever buy them again i am going to look for a higher priced name brand

I cant remember who made the one I bought but they fit like crap. I had the shop working at the truck at the time order in some and they fit really well. wish I know what brand they were. The one that didn't fit worth a you know what looked exactly like the one you posted though.
