Hey guys. I know this has been beaten to death and I’ve been reading and reading. I’m trying to get my high idle enabled....I have an 06 2500 Laramie 4x4 quad. I live in south Florida around Jupiter. Every dealership I’ve gone to or call just doesn’t know a damn thing and has no idea what I’m talking about. And wants to charge to hook up. Yesterday drove down to Okeechobee blvd Arrigo dodge, and the service advisor is just trying to bs me. They clearly have no idea what they’re talking about. the guy hooked up but said I didn’t have it. Anyone have a smarty tuner, or scanner or know someone in a dealer that can help me out. Again I’m in south Florida. And willing to drive appreciate it. Happy holidays y’all.

On my matco scanner, you go into the TIPM -> special function -> enable/disable vehicle feature -> enable/disable PTO high idle.

Not sure if this is a help, but if you know someone with one of matcos tablet scanners that’s how you do it. You could also ask your local matco dealer to use their demo unit for a minute and do it.

That's absurd. I'm starting to believe some dealer people just begin every customer encounter assuming their customers are basically ignorant in order to squeeze every dishonest penny out of them they possibly can. After taking my '07 to a nearby dealer for this about 10 years ago I reached for my wallet at the service desk when they brought it around and the guy said "no charge - it's a 5-minute job."
