Hello All,
Was working on my 2nd gen at school inspecting the front brakes. I looked up and noticed that the frame piece below the upper cross arm has a crack in it. Very close to the bump stop. Has anybody had this happen to them?

Yes call the dealer with your vin, theres a recall on it for that.

Really? Good to know. I will call tomorrow. What is that part called exactly?

Just dawned on me that's two wheel drive, with the zoomed out pic it looks like the upper control arm. When I first looked i thought it was the spring tower. Mine was recalled for supports to be welded in. Still wouldn't hurt to call ande check though and see if there's any recalls or updates. Sorry I should have asked for better pics

Is your 2wd leveled?

It is the coil spring tower that was recalled.
Both my 4 and 2wd had the recall. It was pretty involved, required a certified welder, my dealer didn't have one and had to send it out.

I'm gonna have to check my piece out in the morning...but I ain't gonna get it done anytime soon...needs a front end over haul too so I'll wait till I can afford all that ish too...

Mine too man! Mines that dam leveling kit. Seems to cause nothing but problems for me
