anybody running a redline box
I am thinking about the Blue Chip red line box. I can not find much info here on this box, I would like to hear what you guys think/ know about the box pros/con ect and what stack works good for you. Thanks

i dont know about that statement anymore. i have the unlimited and i think its streetable. It could just be a hit or miss from what ive heard. If you buy a used one, id send it back to chip and have him look at it (its free). I think his new software or what ever he does to them makes them a little more streetable. It does have a little stuble when it takes over but after that i can run through any rpm range and have no problem. Mines even been working and not setting off the check engine light.

I'm assuming since it's the redline unlimited version that you have that there is no rev limiter? sounds like a mean sumb*tch haha:thumbsup:

ive been seriously considering it but i cant justify that much money just to gain a few more rpm over a hot juice at 3200rpm which is 400 more than stock

4k+ is possible from the redline...that is your life if you are pulling..i ditched my edge hot for a tst comp and can pull about 3700...it is just holding me off till p-pump/redline

If you are a puller, get it. I like to run Smarty/redline for pulling because it launches nice. On the street, I can't stand the redline because it bucks too much. I run the Adrenaline/Smarty stack on the street, it pulls to 4360rpm & 62psi boost....very crazy! The Redline only turned 4200rpm, but I didn't have the unlimited....my box is at Chip's right now getting the upgrade.

Yeah i talked to Chip this morning and he said it is a horrible box to street drive because of the bucking/ruffness of the fueling curve but is bad when you pin the throttle in a race/pull. He would not recomend it for a truck that is street driven/daily driver. But i still WANT it. haha

Im like jamie. Ive tried pretty much every big box out there. He likes the ADR/smarty and i really liked the TST/smarty. I still run the smarty with the red line but when it takes over its usually all business anyway. I do still run the redline on the street but with my truck and any box i have there is no in between or medium throttle. Ill play with it around my friends on back roads. The red line is really a pulling box and has proved its self there tho.

i herd from an employee at quad they scrapped the 4k box??? is this not true..... i only got rid of my quad because i hated the stock rev.

I bought a used Blue Chip fms box from a guy yesterday, can't wait to try that. Not surewhat i am going to use for a timing box. Any suggestions? The Adrenaline Sound like a great box, if i don't like the blue chip box that is what i will try next
