i have an 83 ford with a 90 cummins and i need ac

the truck had ac before but no compressor or condencer.

i have the cummins compressor, should i use it or one off a ford gasser?

what is the easyest way to get it cool in the truck?

I would probably use the cummins compressor, that why it should bolt to the engine with no problems, and find a parts store were can get AC hoses made. NAPA, and Advanced Auto have them around me. IN South Jersey.

Since you are going to put it in a different spot I would use the ford compressor and try to use the orginal lines that would probably be the easies and the cheapest route.

Ummm..... Not sure how much clearance you have but, it may be easier to go with the cummins compressor and notch the crossmember. Unless you can fabricate a mounting solution for the ford compressor, get the right pulley, the right belt and mounting depth...
Yikes! On the other hand, FordCummins.com may have a solution for this.

Just my thoughts.
