Yes, you can never go wrong with extra fuel filtration.
GDP kit is top notch and very easy to install, I have one myself and love it.
So what is the priming process after the initial install and then for the following filter changes?

I put one on my 12 and one on my friends 09. After learning how to do it on my 12 it probably took 30 minutes tops to put on the 09.

It's very easy and is 100% bolt on. If you decide to get rid of the truck you can take it off and return to stock in about 15 minutes.

It filters after the stock fuel filter and just before the cp3.

Cycle the key a few times. Our common rails are self purging/ priming.
Thats what i thought. I just wanted/needed some confirmation on it for sure! Thanks for the pics guys!
How in the heck do you get to the stock filter to change it?

Edit: Nevermind, it looks like there's ample arm room to get back there.

Question: If there is a fuel contamination issue or injection pump failure, does this void a warranty?
ok im almost about to buy one now .

does it fit good with all stock part under the hood im in cali so i cant remove or delete anything under the hood?

does this help with water at all or just dirt ?
I cant answer about it working with all the stock parts under the hood , but the directions that come with it says it will. Also it just filters dirt from my understanding , you still have your stock water separator/filter.
Thanks guys for all the great responses.

I figure after all the reading ive been doing im thinking this will be a good back up to the stock filter. as thats still only 3 micron now.

So how long do you guys run the 2 micron filter before you change it ? as the fuel is filtered before it gets to it already ?
It fits with a stock truck but it's tight, also the Fleetguard filter that comes with the kit I had an issue with it hitting the throttle valve but it was very slight.

As far as filtering and water separation that would depend on the filter you run. The Cat filter is not a water seperator. I have 10k on this filter. I think I'll change it every 15 or 20k. No scientific reasons just personal gut feeling.

The kit is well worth it even if it's stock. CR injectors are very particular about clean fuel. Dirt and water is the enemy.

Thanks i wanted to make sure it would fit on the stock truck.

With the advise/help of you guys i just ordered the Kit. Figure its alot cheaper then a cp3 or injectors in the long run.

Later on if i get spare money and i plan to upgrade the power more how much will this filter flow or support about how much hp ?

Cause I know with a mini max on hot dam it will be limited by fuel flow stock
I think I may get one of these as well.
I made up my own setup, bent a 4" by 1/4 " thick flat plate for the mounting bracket and it turned out great. Only got $80 bucks in this setup, less than half what the GDP kit costs.

Hey guys wanting to order this kit today and was wondering why people are going with the cat filter instead or the fleetguard provided with the kit?

Better Filtering (microns) with the CAT vs the Fleetguard.
