Well, my original filter mounted lift pump was starting to show its age at 89,000 miles. The pressure would read any where from 0 - 9 psi depending on what mood it was in. I would be cruising down the highway at a steady 6psi then it would drop to 0psi then run fine for a while. Since I had the Glacier Walbro sitting here waiting to be installed, it was time to do the deed.
Over all time was 5 hrs from start to finish. This included removing the wheel well liner, skid plate and cross brace that the skid plate attaches to. I hate working around items that can be removed. After working on jet engines the past 17 years, I make my job easier when I can.
End result was no leaks and a steady 19psi now. I can barely hear the pump running. Definitely quieter than the original lift pump.
