I am going through the same thing now. I am looking at an 05 4X4 2500 slt with an auto and edge already installed. 90-100K miles
What should I look for as far as issue with the truck.
Those who use these for family, how do the kids like the back? not much room in the quad cab compared to the crew. We will sometimes travel as much as 8 hrs per day.
do not mean to Hijack, but I think we need to know what to look for when inspecting the trucks.

I have a 17, 15, 12,11.
Guess I will have to go have them sit in it. The seats are not near as comfy as the ford.
Any thing these trucks are known to have issues with, that I can check out before buying?

If I do this, want to try and get one that is not a problem. My family would kill me if it broke down. The 6.0 has only had this issue at home. But I look at the thing, and wonder how I will ever work on it...
Would you coose an auto with the edge installed already, or look harder for a 6speed??

Not many 6 speeds here. Not sure I can afford a Mega cab. All 2 I have seen are short beds, and about 10K more than the QC

If I bought one with an auto, What am I looking at $$ to beef up the auto. I am not into big power, Just pulling the TT at 65-70.

My Lariat is so much more comfortable then the dodge. We do long trips, so that is a big factor. How do you guys make these more comfortable? Front and back for the quad cab
