The connection into my oil cap is heating up and melting the hood liner above it. Anybody else have this issue? Any advice on a remedy? Thanks...SC

Yep, pretty normal. You already have it as low profile as possible. Mine has done it for 45K miles, and my dads for 65K miles.. .no ill effects other than aesthetics.

Mine did the same thing. Don't think it's melting, though. Looks on mine more like contact/rubbing. Was especially bad before they did the recall and it was hanging down contacting other stuff on the engine.

Mine did the same mark, it was rubbing though not heat on mine. I tried to put a patch on there and it turned into a mess so I just removed the hood liner.

Mine was rubbing also, no issues from heat.
