was talking with a guy yesterday and he has some of the worst rims i have ever seen. they are oxidized like crazy. he said some guy came and detailed his truck and sprayed something on them that made them shine like new, but about a year later it was back to how it is now. anyone know what this is? he wants more.

why dont u guys just put a great detail on each rim with buffing wheel and maybe even a little wetsanding. They should come out brand new and stay that way as long as u maintain them

All you need is a small buffing set made for drills, a drill, 1500-2000 grill sand paper and some compounds. 1 hour each rim and then u will have brand new rims. sorry as i cant be of help with the chemical they spray on. He can always call up american alloy or some other mobile rim doctor to clean them.

they probably sprayed some acid on them. stuff works good but does discolor the rim slightly. i think truckers use the stuff all the time, u can usually find the stuff at NAPA
