does anyone swap out for aluminum lug nuts? id figure the weight savings on 32 lug nuts being unsprung weight would make a little difference on performance and fuel efficiency. is this a case of over thinking the idea? I'm coming from driving performance cars and squeezing every bit of performance out you can.

I'm no expert but I've never heard of aluminum lug nuts. My travel trailer came with aluminum covers on the lug nuts (which are prone to fail) so I replaced them with McGard's.

There could possibly be something to gain from switching, but I don't think its anything you'd ever notice in reguards to mileage or performance. If there were any gains, they'd probably be too minute. If you did change Id definitely research if aluminum lugnuts will be strong enough, depending on what you do with the truck.
