Hey guys next week i'm going to order a AD150, my ? is will i have the 1/4 tank problem if i install the draw straw correctly? I heard on the forum somewere that they now come with the vulcan draw straw is this true? Any tips and suggestions about the install would be appreciated as i am going to put it in myself and it will be my first!:w: Another thing is i probably won't take the bed off as i don't have any way too and it will be easier for me to drop the tank, any pointers as to how i would suspend the tank like it was under the truck, so i make sure the draw straw is right? Thanks guys i appreciate it!:thumbsup

Do a search on DTR for Air Dog 150 and tons and tons of pages will come up...but the consensus is to use a Jeep Liberty Canister and modify it to put the return line in to the canister to keep the cup full all the time....if you also search 53willys on DTR he has a awesome write-up with pics on how he and many others have done their AD150's!!!

did mine this weekend it's cake walk... I had some good help from a good friend though...

I still had 3/4 of a tank of fuel in mine when I did it...:thud: I know.. :lol3: and i dropped it all by myself and didn't spill a drop of fuel!!!:thumbsup anyways I suspended my tank on 4x4's on each end which made the tank sag in the middle.. Seems to work pretty good I might not have cut it enough but all in all mine stays at 18 to 20 psi and drops about 6 psi on a hard wot run...:hyper:

If you drop the tank, support the tank with saw horses where the tank straps go, I did mine with a quarter tank of fuel to have a little weight in there. there is pictures of different installs, I cut a slight angle on the bottom of mine like 10 degrees. I' have no problems with going down to 1/8 tanks :thumbsup
you just need to measure twice and cut 5-6 times, get your hands in there and feel the bottom of the tank to check the height of the straw.
