After everyone cuts their exhaust of and tsraigh pipes it what do you do with your muffler and "cat"? I know that around here its becoming a big problem with people stealing cats off gas vehicles for scrap money. Can you get decent money from our exhaust parts?

some cats are worth more than others. import cats i sell to a guy for $100 ea. ( i get them from work, they are failed cats that have been replaced).

they were on backorder so i had a local exhaust shop do it for $100.
it sounds ridiculously awesome. it IS loud though !

mine has been missing for so long and I hadn't needed it.... I just sent it on the last load to the scrap yard..... no idea what it all brought....... since we took about 900 pounds of rust... and we were sick of move'n it!

but in lovely IL there are no inspections as of yet!

In the first and second generation dodges up to I think 03' or 04'. Dodge considers them resignators and not cats. All the 06's and newer use cats. I think but i could be wrong:w:

04.5 and up have actual cats. early 04's and previous years have a resonator. ?

eh, i didnt mind. he got me in right away and took him 30 minutes or so.
geno's delete pipe was $80 shipped, so i didnt mind them doing the work for $20 more than i would have spent anyway.
no doubt, it is hard to keep your foot out of it while that bad boy sixxer is singing away. i leave the radio off now just so i can listen - not to count the fact that the factory stero cant push the volume over my pipe anyway.

I was thinking that it was a resonator but wasn't 100% sure. Mine has been off so long, and has been replaced with 4 in from turbo back. I don't have any need for it, i just wondered if anyone was getting any money for them?

i use the muffler on a generator, and i used the other pieces of pipe to make a custom side exit exhaust after my new muffler.
