is this a direct replacement of the hose that runs from the air box to the turbo inlet ?

if so, cant you order the bhaf, along with this tube and have a nice intake ?

I have the Cool Blue version. As long as you have a place to mount the IAT you should be OK.

Sure thing, Im at work so it might be a few hours, like around 3pm. If you want to use a not so BHAF then go with this one. The bigger air filter looks awsome though.:beer

here is the over all view.

If you look here, i needed a 4" flexable coupling to go from torque tube to filter. got it at home depot

The filter does sit in the very snugg and will rest on the turbo outlet tube

Here is where i cut the battery try.

Here is my home made cold air intake

Note: when switching to a open style filter be sure and clamp the radiator overflow hose, mine popped off on me once. you dont want chance the hose coming loose and spraying your filter down:thumbsup

How's the noise level in the cab with the torque tube installed, my turbo whines now, I don't think I would want it any louder in the cab. Is the rubber tubes quieter then the hard plastic tubes?

not sure about fram filters being bad, its out though. Had it in for a little why i fixed up my amsoil bypass.

Good call ynots57, i completely forgot about that, yes you sould use a hose clamp, i switched mine out after seing a leak.

Cant tell on the noise level, i got a 5" exhaust but before that you could really hear the turbo go with that silencer ring delete.
