Well, I was at the dealer today getting my first oil change. When my wife dropped me off there was a SWEEET looking lifted 2500 deleted.

I had an opportunity to talk to the guy. Said he put on a CAI, and a Diamond Eye turbo back exhaust. Cant remember if he said it was 5" or 6".

Anyhow, i don't know why he was at the service dept but said they are delete friendly, has 800 miles on his truck, etc..... They brought his truck around to him, mini maxx attached to his window.

So, once again, got me thinking about deleting.

I'm going to have it done. The place that does it here sells AFE exhaust, and also an H&S according to their website.

Anyone have and experience with the AFE compared to the H&S.

I'm not looking for stock sound, but not wanting aggravating loud. The guy i talked to had perfect sound, no black smoke on acceleration, and said was just running a no power tune.

Originally i was just considering the dpf/cat delete, but now i want to go better.

Can anyone tell me anything about my 2 choices?

I had a 5" Flo-Pro TBE on my 2012 3500 lb. Which is lower than the Diamond Eye as for quality. The fit was terrible and it was loud even with a muffler. So I went with the Large bore AFE 4'' SS TBE. Awesome fit and sounds really nice. Just my .02.

I put the dpf/downpipe delete pipe and a nice tip on. It sounds great and is quite a bit cheaper than a whole system.

I have the AFE TBE 4". Has a nice sound to it and is surprisingly quiet. Not a whole much loader than stock.

I'm very happy with my set-up.

Diamond Eye seems to be pretty popular. It's priced well and I rarely hear any negative about the fit.

I have heard others having issues with Flo Pro.
I've had Flo Pro on both my '08 and this new truck. I didn't have any fitment or install problems other than some egg shaped pipe (shipping damage?) I'm running 5" straight. EB noise at idle is a bit annoying. When you're on the throttle, it is pretty loud. But still quieter than a 5.9. I have an Aero Turbine muffler that is supposed to limit the whoosh and deepen the sound, but I haven't installed it yet
