I run one. I love it. Didn't make much difference in smoke. But I love the way it runs.

Never over 1250* stock injectors with an hx35. ran 38lbs of boost. cruised around 600* the 1250* was hooked to the sled. the delete came after the hx35, so I don't know how it would behave with a H1C. like I said before there wasn't really any more smoke, it smoked the same before the delete, pump was maxed. I have no Idea about fuel consumption, I didn't care, by the time I bought the delete the truck had became a dedicated puller, and is currently tore down, putting a 14mm pump, 85mm turbo, 2nd gen IC airdog, studs, timing, 5x20 injectors. etc.

I just took one off of a customer truck today the complantes were excessive smoke (Blacking out the sun excessive) turbo lag poor fuel econemy! I test drove the truck before and after swaping the pump tops also and can confirm the conplaint! I think they have there place in compition only trucks.

yes, but causes fuel leaks.

In all honestly If you like to stomp the peddle to the floor every time you take off, it will cause turbo lag smoke etc. If you roll into the throttle and drive normal it was fine. I was also running a hx35 with a 12cm housing, so there was no turbo lag.

Ill be running a he351 and its just gonna be my weekend driver. I just want a quick little toy. I guess if I don't like it I can always put it back.

Junior ive tried everything you can possiably think of with my ve and a afc delete was the worst just listen to someone that is experienced .. its sad to see people getting taken advantage of (because like of knowledge with a ve pump) like buying the worthless afc delete tops when taking the afc lever out accomplishes the same thing for free...

The part I like the best is the accessibility. I can get to everything much easier. fuel screw, pump top screws, etc. also stops afc leaks.

I took out the lever once upon a time. Same thing as the delete. If you don't drive like an idiot and don't tow a lot it's definitely bearable. I wouldn't spend the money on the delete though... (sorry Denny).

Thanks for everyone's input. I don't think ill be using the delete. I don't want a big smokey pig of a truck.

I run one on.
stock ic injectors its the same as a stage 2 with a maxed smoke screw. I got it due to repeated fuel pin oring leaks it does what it says. Now if you go to larger injectors run a fuel pin.
with 6x12s its almost to smokey for me.

Allow me to clear up some misconceptions about the above. First there is no AFC. call it what you like, I think most folks can understand what it is your talking about. However, as a tech it is...in terms of BOSCH, a manifold pressure compensator aka LDA.

Secondly, if you have deleted the compensator the engine will NOT "puke smoke all over itself and run terrible" These pumps are made OE w/o this device. True,,,,, not for OUR application however. But, nonetheless.....

If you did delet the above and it ran terrible or a friend of yours performed the above, and it too ran terrible, something was wrong. Something was not installed correctly and/or broken/missing...something.

I have personally removed enough reverse levers to tell you this with upmost honesty. Injection pump shops also perform this same method to modify a pump.

I cannot speak for the so called "AFC Delete" as mentioned, however it is true that removal of said lever inside the pump will net the same results.

The idea is to gain fuel. if you do perform this mod with success and find that the truck smokes and blackens out a four lane highway.....correct. It will. Period. The engine is telling you that you now need to perform SUPPOTING mods. That is to say modifications that will support the added fuel. Fuel injectors will also help, in terms of fuel atomization. A weak injection pump also, will not atomize fuel well either. You add additional fuel via the above mod and find you have loads of smoke, there are underlying issues here one must remedy.

Here is an idea...perform the mod and then turn the fuel screw DOWN a notch untill you can add additional air flow and/or learn how to drive w/o slamming your foot to the floor at each stop light. That will net you favorable results.
