Adjusting computer for 35" tires question

894 2
Does correcting the pinion factor for 35" tires affect the transmission in any way. I can live with the speedo being off a bit but if the transmission needs the correction then I will have it done.

The reason I ask is a freind with a Duramax swears the allison transmission must be programmed for the right size tires or the shift points are off.

See my other post about the horrible mileage. While I do think it may affect shift points, the dealer is unable to fully correct for a 35" tire....at least my dealer. You'll go from being 10% off to 6% off...which is a lot tougher to do the math in your head while you're driving. Honestly I think only certain aftermarket programmers can fully adjust for the larger size.
