I'm still trying to get my truck to shift smoother. I changed the oil in the tranny and used the stock mopar stuff. Well it still kinda has the two step catch feel when shifting between gears. I'm wondering if the syncro's are shot in it. Is there anything I can run in there, that could smooth out the shifts? I really can't stand this. Damn 2000 truck, I've had 60 year old tractor's shift better than this. Please help.

Not that I know of...

If the gear are getting tough... I would look at everything... Pilot bearing, etc...

When I talked to Dan at Valair, he gave me a new part when I ordered the flywheel, clutch and pilot bearing. I don't remember what it was, but it had something to do with the linkage and forcing the clutch to disengage. All I know is that since I had it installed that my truck shifts way smoother now, it goes into gear much easier. Just call and talk to them, I remember the part was real cheap.

Typically the first problem with any of the NV transmissions involves the pilot bearing. When it goes away you are going to start having all sort of problems. Dan (Quad 4x4) has the answer to most but not all of your problems. Look to Chrysler for your transmission parts and DO NOT expect to be getting the quality pieces you were getting before New Venture went out of business.
From my point of view, after 4 (four) rebuilds in 6 (six) months I'm going to visit Eaton and put a player in place and put the NV5600 on end and make a mail box post.
keep smokin, pc
