I have been going through the truck I got and trying to work out the bugs. I got my overdrive on a switch for now. But my speedo never worked. I found that the wires and plug that plug into the vss r missing. What color are those wires? It’s on a 91.5 2wd.
Thanks

One wire is black with a light blue tracer & the other wire is white with an orange tracer.

Is your ECM functional & plugged in?
I honestly have no clue. I was power washing the bottom of the truck, while its down getting the ve pump rebuilt. I noticed the wires and plug were not there to plug into the vss. I would like my speedo to work again. I bought a tps delete a while back and it did not work. I'm assuming its because the vss was unplugged?

I cannot help you without you knowing if the ECM is functional or not.

A Factory Service Manual would be a good place for you to start diagnosing & tracing wires.

Everything works but the speedo and overdrive. A/c, system charges.

That doesn't have any relevance to whether the ECM is functional or not.

Get an FSM - it would clearly show you the AC & charging system are independent of the ECM on a 91.5

Thank you for all of your help. I’ll get it figured out and get an fsm so I can clearly see everything.

Careful 91.5 is a truck on it's Own None of the wiring from a 91.5 will fit anything else and vis versa
being it has no CPS they can be fun to fix also if PCM is bad good luck they can not fix that yr from my understanding .
