The ford dealer charged me $800 for one injector for my 99 7.3 company truck. I can't remember what the labor was. When you don't have to pay for somthing and it makes you sick theres a real problem.

My friend has a '99 7.3 Ford, hit some black ice and rolled in the ditch. No harm to driver, insurance paid it off and he kept it. Tried to talk him into a cummins, and what does he do? Buys an '04 6.0 Ford. Check engine light comes on, he scans the code, buys part (some fuel sensor thing) and finds out he has to pull turbo, and half the engine off to even get to the location. What an engineering nightmare. I hear the new fords are even more fun to work on. :hehe: Can't wait for the new scorpion diesel , its only the 47th re-design of a turd in 25 or so years.:hehe:

Does not surprise me. My old 95 PSD burnt up the under valve cover harness and i had to change all 4 of them, vc gaskets, pigtail connectors, and 8 glow plugs. It was like the truck was built around the valve covers. I can only imagine the newer ones. Not to mention the two glow plugs that were seized in. Those were fun to get out.:banghead:
Sold it before i had to start changing injectors.

My bosses 08 psd just burned up a fuel pump the other day. If it wasn't under warranty it's 2800 to replace because they have to remove the cab to get to it.
Lol isn't that just ridiculous. I thought the idea of running electrical connections under the valve cover was bad enough.

Well the Scorpion is supposed to be built by Ford. I would expect to see some major changes. Whether for the better or worse... only time will tell.

What blows my mind is how many companys use the Superdutys. Maybe its just hear in the south but for the most part of people that own a diesel its a Ford. The dealership down the road from me has plenty of the powerpokes to work on and everytime I pass I get a good laugh..Sucks to be them.:confused013:
