I have aluminum line on the high pressure side and need to attach two tubes together. Can I use the flare fitting parts, which are brass, to connect two aluminum pipes to make one? I use these on copper tubing all the time for propane, but propane is typically very low pressure after the regulator, AC system is much higher so that is my concern. Will the flare fitting be sufficient?

If ya can, tig weld them. There is some mix of aluminum rod that is used with propane or map gas torches, it melts a 750 and the aluminum melts around 1100. I’ve used both and it works, although tig welding you know damn sure it’s done right.

Is this on your 98.5 2500 Extended cab?
Do you know this is 3rd Gen 03-07?
What reason is there to have to do this repair?
Wouldn't a new part do better?
