well its getting that time of year again to use the a/c and after running the a/c the other night, i found that its leaking into the floorboard, somes goin out the firewall but most is going in the floorboard. was wondering if i had to take all the dash out to fix this or not? i've tried cleanin out the firewall tube but still nothing, thought maybe a dirt dobbers nest (don't know how to spell that lol) was built up in there but nothing came out, and even blew it out too:banghead:. i didn't know if there was some kind of a gasket between the firewall and the ac box or not. any help?:confused013:
thanks

Clean the firewall tube again with a coat hanger. Then run a tube off of it, down the firewall. This fixed mine. I was told that while driving the water would be blown back causing it to leak in the floor. It might sound crazy but I would give it a try. Should be less than 5 dollars worth of parts.

i had a similar problem. all it was....the drain hose that comes out of the fire wall fell off. there is a tube the sticks out about an inch past the fire wall that has a rubber hose that is suppose to connect to it. mine fell off and it was letting wind in the box and would force it onto the floor board.

My heater core went out and i had to un bolt the dash and pull it back and set it on the front seats to even get to the AC and heater core box. Its the worst job iv ever had to do on my truck. :banghead:

alright i'm gonna try the relay, cleaning it out and a turn down and if this doesn't fix it, i'll let ya know how that goes. i'm hoping i don't have to pull the dash out. one reason i've been putting all this off lol
thanks for all the replies!
