Looking at a 99 but it's a dually what do I need to convert it to a single rear wheel obviously the bed anything else?

Ok here comes the elementary question, - Why would you do that ?

I hate duallys but love a one ton and got my hands on one cheap enough

would a 3/4 ton wheel bolt on ? (no offset )
why would you hate a dually ?
I snowplow and drive it everywhere.

Don't like the look for one and going through mud and farming I don't want duals

My dads 98.5 dually sinks like a rock in mud and snow. He is the keep it stock don't mess with it kinda guy. But We did put my stock 99 2500 wheels with 285/75 tires on it for a month or so.
We need different lugnuts
As for the front, we just took off the adapter spacer things and bolted on the wheels on.
The rear well he has a Dana 80 mine is a 70 so his axle is 4" wider then mine. so the wheels where out past the dually fenders lol.

I just did mine and the front is just spacers but he back axle is wider. I swapped axles in mine but you don't have too. The wheels just stick out quite a bit, almost 2" per side.

How hard is it to regear? I got 4:10s want to go to 3:55

it would be easier to just swap axles and get the narrower 2500 dana 70 axle. then your tires wont stick out 2" on each side with stock tires 245.

I'd look for a dana 80 out of either a 2500 or 3500 single wheel. The 6-speeds use the 80.

Also the 80 in an 02 has disc brake as well
