A few questions about the tires: How has your mileage been since the new tires were put on? How has the rubbing been? Did you make new control arms, or are you using the stock ones still? And anything else you'd like to point out. I have the 2" HBS spacers at my house waiting for me to get back from Iraq right next to my 37s that I've had waiting for me for over a year now, and I'm excited to get it going...

Hasn't changed - I think the increased circumference (and thus lower RPMs) were offset by the increased rolling resistance and wind resistance. I usually get about 16 MPG (mixed city/highway) and up to 18-19 MPG or so on the highway. Same as I've ever gotten out of this truck.

How has the rubbing been?
No rubbing really. At full lock you can hear a faint "ting-ting-ting" kind of sound as the tips of the lugs just barely brush the control arms. The sound isn't accompanied by any vibration or notchiness, so I'm not worried about it at all.

Still using the stock ones. I want to get some that are an inch longer or so, just to recenter the axle. I pulled the cheapo aftermarket mudflaps off, so there's no more rubbing in the wheel well.

Sweet.

I condensed all the wheel/tire info in beefster's thread, here: http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/tires-wheels-forum/149343-humvee-tires-dually.html

Of course. I only have a 2 inch leveling kit.

I have no idea what kind of offset you'd need on a SRW truck to make things fit - you're on your own there. I'd advise against the bias ply tires, too.

why would you advise against the 36's?

Bias plys suck. You can get radials for the same cost, and they're almost identical in size.

Yeah... they're the same price.

I got mine from a guy named Rod in Marshfield, Wisconsin. He gave me a price break since I bought six at once - they ended up costing me $550 total.

Just spent the last hour reading every post in this thread and would like to say "Great Job Man". Looking forward to seeing more out of the truck! Can't wait to see pics of it in the Snow in a month or two. Oh and please tell me that your friends let you sit in the front for the trip to CA!
