Like the header says, 98 24 valve truck that wont start sometimes. I had trouble with it yesterday at the fuel pumps, it has a new lift pump, and it was running (the lift pump was running) when you cranked the engine and fuel would spray out of the fuel filter water drain when opened. What I did to start it was tap on the injector pump where the wires go in, I assume this is a fuel shut off solenoid? Can it be replaced seperately , and are there any pictures?

Water drain takes fuel out of bottom of filter. Banjo bolt takes out of top and gets air displaced.

the selinoid is very easy to take apart clean and put back in. they very rarely go bad. also have you deleted the fuel heater? if not its a good idea if you feel you need it hooked up then it needs to be taken apart cleaned and all the ruber hoses replaced. does it seem as if the truck looses prime?
